
Men's Tennis Heads to ITA Regionals

Lubbock, Texas - The Texas Tech men's tennis team will be competing in the ITA South Central Regional Tournament, in College Station, Texas, starting on Thurs., Oct. 20.
Bojan Szumanksi, Tech's top returner, has been awarded the No. 1 seed for the singles tournament. This is the first time in Red Raider tennis history that a Tech player has been the No. 1 seed at this event. Szumanski is currently seated at No. 21 in the national poll.
Play will begin on Thursday, Oct. 20, at Texas A&M, in College Station. Draws are expected to be released on Wednesday.
`I'm very excited for this tournament," said Head Coach Tim Siegel. "This is a great opportunity for our guys to play in some great matches. I'm very happy for Bojan receiving the No. 1 seed. It's a real testament to his ability and how hard he works."
