LUBBOCK, Texas - The Texas Tech men's tennis team wrapped up the final day of competition in Waco, Texas and Tulsa, Oklahoma. The Red Raiders were led by Senior Esat Tanik and freshman Adrian Prpic in the Baylor Intercollegiate. Senior Jakob Paulsen and sophomore Bojan Szumanski represented Tech in the Hurricane Invitational.
In the singles bracket at Tulsa today, Szumanski defeated Bryan Wooten (TAMU) 7-6, 6-4. Paulsen saw defeat against Ricardo Soriano (Tulsa), 5-4, and then a default. In doubles action Andy Connolly and Ross Cunningham (Tulsa) teamed up to defeat Szumanski and Paulsen, 8-0.
In round three of the consulation bracket at the Baylor Intercollegiate Tanik was defeated by Thomas Schoek (Boise State), 6-1, 7-6. The doubles match scheduled for Tanik and Prpic was not played due to default.
Red Raider tennis resumes Oct. 9-11 for the Lubbock Futures Qualifying and again Oct. 12-17 for the Lubbock Futures Main Draw.
