Day One of ITA Regionals in College Station Wraps Up

LUBBOCK, Texas - The Texas Tech women's tennis team completed the first day of the ITA Regional Tournament in College Station, Texas on Friday. The Lady Raiders won all three doubles matches in the opening round of 64 at the tournament.
In doubles play, the undefeated duo of juniors Erin Hunter and Katja Kovacic won their first match and will compete in the next round tomorrow against Baylor's team of Zuzana Cerna and Danieala Covello. Junior Tara Browning and freshman Cigdem Duru also won their match today and will play Kendall Exelby and Tea Spirta (UTEP), while Janet Durham and Lakann Wagley will face Helena Besovic and Karla Macinas of TCU.
