The Tech Women's Tennis Team Wrap Up Tournament

LUBBOCK, Texas - The Texas Tech women's tennis team wrapped up the final day of competition at the 2003 Polo Tennis National Collegiate Preview in Tulsa, Okla. The Lady Raiders finished the day with one win in singles play.

In flight A, the Lady Raiders suffered three losses. Irina Tereshenko, Kendall Brooks and Hristiyana each lost their matches, all to opponents from Southwest Missouri State. In flight B, the Lady Raiders saw some success by way of Lakann Wagley who bested her opponent Elizabeth Garza (SMS), 7-6, 6-2. Tara Browning was beaten by Laura Alvarez (SMS), 6-2, 6-0 and Iva Gyurgina lost her match as well to Biljana Gakovic (SMS), 6-4, 6-1.

The Lady Raiders continue their fall season with the Cougar Fall Classic next weekend, Oct. 3-5.
