LUBBOCK, Texas - The Texas Tech Athletics Department announced today that season tickets for the 2004 baseball season are now on sale to the general public.
The Red Raiders will play a total of 35 home games this season and will face two of the most storied college baseball programs in NCAA history at Dan Law Field as the Clemson Tigers come to town March 19-21 for a non-conference battle while arch-rival Texas comes for a three-game series April 2-4.
"I have been saying the same thing for 18 years now but you just can't hide the truth - we have the greatest and most knowledge fans in all of college baseball," said head coach Larry Hays. "Our fan support over the years has had more of an impact on our program than anything else. Last year our fans asked for a more demanding non-conference schedule and I think we have delivered that. I hope that Red Raider fans will come out and support a really good group of guys that work hard on the field and in the classroom. These guys are great people and I think they have the potential to be a pretty good team."
The Tech baseball office has added a new incentive this year for those fans that purchase season tickets. All season tickets holders will get one opportunity to take live batting practice on the field prior to a home game.
