
Tech Volleyball To Host Texas

LUBBOCK, Texas - The Texas Tech volleyball squad will play its last match in the United Spirit Arena of the season when it hosts Texas tomorrow at 7 p.m. This match will also signify the last home match for senior Angela Mooney who will be recognized before the match.
Tech (11-16, 3-15) is coming off a 3-0 loss to No. 5 Kansas State, its highest ranked opponent of the season. This is the second meeting of the season between the Longhorns and the Raiders, the last a 3-0 (28-30, 28-30, 19-30) Texas victory. Tech had three Red Raiders, Laura Grote, Kiley Lyons and Kelly Johnson, hit over .300 with Raven Garrett marking a career high four blocks in. The team will close out the season on Saturday when it travels to Lawrence, Kan., to take on the Jayhawks.
The first 50 fans through the door will receive free movie passes to the new Stars and Stripes Drive-In Theatre.
