The Lady Raiders Complete Day Two at Cougar Fall Classic

LUBBOCK, Texas - The Texas Tech women's tennis team finished their second day of competition in Houston at the Cougar Fall Classic. The Lady Raiders saw victory from Lakann Wagley and her partner, Zuzana Krchnakova of Baylor who finished first in doubles.

In Flight C of the final day of doubles play, Lakann Wagley who paired up with Zuzana Krchnakova took first place in their flight after they defeated Melanie Hall and Ms. Derkson of Texas State, 8-2. The Lady Raider duo of Tara Browning and Katja Kovacic took the third place spot after defeating McNeese State's team of Marino Gando and Ms. Hakansson, 9-8, (7-4). To round out play in Flight D, Hristiyana Gocheva and Iva Gyurgina defeated Texas State's team of Felder and Leja Sirola, 9-8, (7-4).

In California at the Riviera/ITA Women's All-American Championships, Irina Tereschenko competed in the prequalifying singles round and fell to her opponent, Erin Hoe of Washington, 6-4, 6-2. Tereschenko and Kendall Brooks will be competing together in the doubles qualifying rounds begining on Oct. 8
