LUBBOCK, Texas - The football team is not the only one squaring off with Missouri, as the No. 24 Missouri volleyball team will play the Red Raiders tomorrow at 7 p.m. at the United Spirit Arena. This match signifies the second half of conference play as the team has already met all the teams and will now play them again.
Tech (9-10, 1-9) is coming off a 3-0 sweep of Oklahoma that snapped a 10-match losing streak and gave the team its first conference win of the season. Kelly Johnson slammed a match-high 16 kills with two aces. Defensively she added eight digs and five total blocks, three solo which tied a career high.
Tech and Missouri (15-4,8-2) met earlier this season at Columbia on Sept. 24, a 3-0 loss (30-13, 30-26, 30-22). Sophomore Breanna Pursley led the team with 12 kills and a second best 11 digs. Junior Jessy Herrera contributed a team high 12 digs while freshman Raven Garrett, in her first conference start, led the team with three blocks.
First serve is scheduled for 7 p.m. Ticket admission is $5 for adults and $3 for children. Fans who attend the game can purchase two tickets for the price of one.
