2002 Baseball Signee Earns High School All-America Honors

LUBBOCK, Texas - Texas Tech 2002 signee Casey Andrews has been named to the Collegiate Baseball 2001 TPX Louisville Slugger High School All-America team, the publication announced on June 8.
Andrews, a high school catcher from Farmington, N.M., hit .461 with 12 home runs this past season setting a Farmington High School record in both categories.
"This is a great honor for Casey and we proud for him because this is a very select group of players," said Texas Tech head coach Larry Hays. "Casey is going to make a big impact on our program and we all thin k that he can contribute immediately as a freshman."
