LUBBOCK, Texas - The Texas Tech Athletic Media Relations office garnered a national award this week as the Red Raider Baseball Gameday Program was judged Best in the Nation by CoSIDA.
CoSIDA (College Sports Information Directors Association) judges numerous entries each year and supports contests for Best Media Guide, Best Gameday Program and Best Cover Design for football, soccer, men's and women's volleyball, men's and women's basketball, baseball, softball, golf and tennis. CoSIDA also sponsors an at-large category for sports such as lacrosse and archery.
Texas Tech's gameday baseball program was written and designed by Blayne Beal, Assistant Athletic Media Relations Director with editorial assistance from Assistant A.D./Media Relations Chris Cook, Associate Athletic Media Relations Director Tammi Hoffman and student assistants Farra Levin and Holly Krivokapich.
This is the first time that a Texas Tech athletic publication has finished in first place but the office has garnered numerous second and third place finishes.
