Tech Forces Second Game With Cal State Fullerton

FULLERTON, Calif. - The Texas Tech baseball team has forced a second game with top ranked and No. 1 seeded Cal State Fullerton by defeating the Titans 11-5 on Sunday afternoon. The winner of the second game will advance to the NCAA Super Regionals against the Mississippi State Bulldogs who won the Columbus Regional over Kent State earlier in the day.
Texas Tech pounded out 11 runs on 11 hits and capitalized on two Titan defensive errors. Kerry Hodges led the Texas Tech offensive attack going 3 for 4 at the plate with two RBI. Matt Harbin was the hero of the day as he pitched his first complete game of his career and gave up five runs on 10 hits with five strikeouts.
The second game with Cal State Fullerton is scheduled to begin at 4:25 p.m. (PT).
