LUBBOCK, Texas - The Texas Tech volleyball team earned its second consecutive NCAA Tournament bid on Monday afternoon and will play Utah in the first-round at Crimson Court in Salt Lake City, Utah.
"We are really excited about being able to go to the tournament," said Texas Tech head coach Jeff Nelson. "The tournament is a great chance for us to see what we can do and hopefully make some noise in the process. The last few matches with Utah have been great ones and I really expect the same thing again."
Texas Tech was one of eight Big 12 teams to receive bids to this year's NCAA Tournament including Nebraska, Texas A&M, Kansas State, Colorado, Missouri, Texas and Baylor.
Texas Tech and Utah will play at an undetermined time on Thursday in Salt Lake City and the winner of the Tech/Utah game will face off against the winner of the BYU/Utah State match
