LUBBOCK, Texas - Texas Tech head volleyball coach Jeff Nelson signed two players to National Letters of Intent on Thursday in what was the first day of the early national signing period. Inking letters for Texas Tech were Abby Schukman and Deandra Johnson.

The Red Raiders got a West Texas commitment from Deandra Johnson of Amarillo. Johnson is a 6-3 middle blocker/outside hitter who is currently a senior at Palo Duro High School.
"Both of these players are going to contribute immediately to our program," said assistant caoch Nancy Todd." Abby and Deandra come from exceptional high school programs and are very well coached athletes. We look forward to having them on our team and feel confident they will have great careers at Texas Tech."
