Men's Golf Heads to 2001 Cardinal Classic

LUBBOCK, Texas - The Texas Tech men's golf team is headed to Beaumont, Texas to play in the 2001 Cardinal Classic hosted by Lamar University. Tech has played in three tournaments this season, placing first in two and fourth in the other.
The 13-team field is comprised of Arkansas-Little Rock, Arkansas State, Jacksonville State, Lamar, Louisiana-Monroe, McNeese State, Nebraska, North Texas, Sam Houston State, Southeastern Louisiana, Southern Mississippi, Texas Tech and Wichita State. Tech has competed against all but four of these teams this season, earning a win in each contest.
Play will begin Monday at 8:00 a.m. with 36 holes being played on the par-72 Oaks Golf Club course.
