Baylor advances to the Big 12 Tournament championship game Sunday at 1 p.m.
The Bears improve to 7-5 in Big 12 Tournament action. Baylor is now 19-17 in SWC/Big 12 Tournament action. Texas Tech falls to 8-7 in the Big 12 Tournament and 15-17 in SWC/Big 12 Tournament play.
For the first 12 games of the tournament, the total attendance is 108,109. Last year's NCAA record conference tournament attendance for the entire Big 12 Phillips 66 Conference Tournament was 129,334 for 13 games. There are two games remaining in this year's tournament.
Texas Tech's Cory Sellars made his first career start today. He was 12th different starting pitcher this year for the Red Raiders.
Eric McLamore of Texas Tech made his first career start in right field. It was his third game in right field this season.
Texas Tech has turned 63 double plays this season, which ties the school record.
Jason Rainey's solo home run in the seventh inning for Texas Tech was his second of the tournament.
Texas Tech's Marco Cunningham recorded a .438 batting average in the tournament with seven hits in 16 at bats.
Baylor's seven stolen bases in the game set a Big 12 Tournament record. It was also a season high for the Bears.
