Volleyball Falls To Colorado

LUBBOCK, Texas - The Texas Tech volleyball team suffered their second loss of the season as the Red Raiders fell to Colorado in five games (13-15, 15-9, 15-6, 17-19, 6-15) at United Spirit Arena on Saturday.
With the loss Tech drops to 16-2 on the year and 5-2 in the Big 12 while Colorado moves to 7-7 and 3-4 in the league.
Tech was unable to seal the match as the Red Raiders has six match-point opportunities at the end of the fourth game. Colorado took the fourth game 19-17 and ran away 15-6 in the fifth to win the match.
Colorado had five players with double-figure kills and digs. Sonja Nielsen led the Buffaloes with 20 kills while Melissa McGehee led Tech with 25 kills. Sophomore Ann Romjue had an impressive defensive performance with 30 digs in the match.
Tech will travel to College Station on Wednesday to face-off against Texas A&M at 7 p.m.
