Men to Compete in the "Nelson" This Weekend

LUBBOCK, Texas - The Texas Tech men's golf team will travel to Palo Alto, Calif., to compete in the 19-team field, including three top 25, at the Stanford hosted Nelson Invitational this weekend.
Kyle Willmann, a junior college transfer from Edmond, Okla., has come alive in the past two tournaments to finish tied for 10th and 12th respectively. Senior Corey Henegar will compete in his first tournament of the year when he tees off at the Nelson this weekend. Junior David Bolen has finished in the top 20 three times in the past four tournaments.
The Red Raiders will have some competition in this weekend's 54-hole tournament with (20) North Florida, (24) Alabama and (25) North Carolina State competing in the 19-team field. Play starts on Friday at 8:30 a.m. and will conclude on Sunday.
The Field -- Stanford, (24) Alabama, Colorado State, (20) North Florida, Kansas, Missouri, Duke, Idaho, Michigan, Purdue, Colorado, Fresno State, Florida Southern, Miami-Ohio, Wyoming, (25) North Carolina State, Washington, Hawaii-Hilo and Texas Tech.
