LUBBOCK, Texas - Greg Greenwell has been named assistant media relations director at Texas Tech, according to an announcement today by the school. He will report to work at Tech on Dec. 6.
Greenwell comes to the Texas Tech athletic department from the public relations department of Major League Baseball?s Chicago White Sox. Prior to his stint in the Windy City, he worked in athletic media relations at Indiana University handling baseball, volleyball and swimming and diving.
A graduate of Flager College in St. Augustine, Fla., Greenwell also earned appointments to the U.S. Air Force and U.S. Naval Academies. He replaces Greg Hotchkiss, who left the Texas Tech staff to take a position at Duke.
