Isaiah Fernandez enters his first season with the Lady Raider Basketball program at the start of the 2026-27 season.
Fernandez joins the Lady Raider Basketball program after spending four seasons with the University of New Mexico women’s basketball team, most recently serving as director of player development.
During his time with the Lobos, Fernandez oversaw day-to-day basketball operations while helping develop multiple All-Mountain West guards and contributing to three 20-win seasons in four years.
Prior to joining New Mexico, he spent five seasons as a graduate assistant manager at Mississippi State under Hall of Famer Nicki McCray-Penson. Fernandez started his coaching career at Old Dominion, spending four years as a student manager there.
A Hopewell, Virginia, native, Fernandez earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Sport Management from Old Dominion University in 2020, before earning a Master of Science degree in Sport Administration from Mississippi State University in 2022.
Fernandez is the son of Alicia Fleming and Jeffery Fernandez and is the youngest of his three siblings: Deshawn, Rosslyn and Dana.
