Texas Techโs annual Homecoming game will begin at 2:30 p.m. on Oct. 17 against Arizona State
LUBBOCK, Texas โ Texas Tech will return to Galaxy Stadium for a 2:30 p.m. CT kick against Arizona State on Oct. 17, the Big 12 Conference announced Monday as part of its 12-day television selection process.
The Red Raiders, already 5-0 on the season entering their lone open date on the schedule, will enter the matchup of the last two Big 12 champions riding an 11-game home winning streak that is Texas Tech's longest such run inside Galaxy Stadium since the 2007-09 campaigns. That streak is currently tied for the fifth longest in the FBS heading into this weekend.
Arizona State was Texas Tech's lone regular-season loss a year ago as the Sun Devils halted a 6-0 start by the Red Raiders, who rebounded to win their next five games by an average of 35.0 points. Texas Tech and Arizona State have split the previous six matchups against each other, including the two as Big 12 Conference members the past two seasons.
The Red Raiders are a perfect 2-0 at home against the Sun Devils after downing Arizona State, 52-45, to close a non-conference series against each other in 2017 and then 30-22 in the Big 12 opener for both teams in 2024. The Sun Devils bounced back from that 2024 loss to win eight or their next nine games, including a 45-19 rout over Iowa State in the Big 12 Championship.
Texas Tech has already reached a sellout status for the Arizona State game, marking its fourth advanced sellout this season and its 11th in a row dating back to the 2025 season. Fans still looking for tickets are encouraged to utilize SeatGeek, the official secondary ticket provider of Texas Tech Athletics.
