2018 SEASON (SENIOR)
Made an immediate and significant impact in his lone season at Tech as a graduate transfer … started at safety in eight games on the year … made an appearance in all 12 games … tied for a team-leading two forced fumbles, joining linebacker Riko Jeffers and fellow defensive back DaMarcus Fields … ended the year with 32 tackles (22 solo), a pass breakup and a quarterback hurry ... SEASON HIGHLIGHTS: made his Red Raider debut in season opener against Ole Miss (9/1) in Houston, delivering his highest tackle tally of the year with eight … also forced a fumble to give the Red Raiders the ball in the second half … pressured the quarterback and snagged two more tackles in his home debut against Lamar (9/8) … tackled two more opponents in a shootout against Houston (9/15) … broke up a pass and added three tackles in a road victory at Oklahoma State (9/22) … picked up another tackle against West Virginia (9/29) … recorded three tackles against both TCU (10/11) and Kansas (10/20) … also forced his second fumble of the year in home win over the Jayhawks … notched four tackles at Iowa State (10/27) … got two tackles at home against Texas (11/10) … rounded out his career with a tackle against Kansas State (11/17) and three more against Baylor (11/24) in Arlington.
2017 SEASON (JUNIOR AT UNIVERSITY OF TEXAS)
Once again played in all 13 games while making starts late in the year versus Baylor and Texas Tech … totaled 19 tackles on the season to go along with one-half sack, an interception, two fumble recoveries and three pass breakups … recorded two tackles, including one on special teams, in the season opener against Maryland … posted his first pass breakup of the season a week later in win over San Jose State … notched four tackles in a double overtime loss at USC … recorded a tackle and a pass breakup against Iowa State … broke up another pass in double overtime win over Kansas State … picked off his first career pass against Oklahoma … interception was Baker Mayfield’s first of the season, which snapped a stretch of more than 200-consecutive passes without a pick … totaled a season-high five tackles against an Oklahoma State offense that was held to just 13 points … earned his first start of the season against Baylor, recording three tackles, one-half sack and two fumble recoveries … marked the first Texas player to record two fumble recoveries in a game since Sam Acho did so in 2009 … ended the regular season with two tackles against the Red Raiders.
2016 SEASON (SOPHOMORE AT UNIVERSITY OF TEXAS)
Appeared in all 12 games while starting in the final seven games at cornerback … played under current Texas Tech defensive backs coach Clay Jennings, who was in a similar position at Texas at the time … ended the year with 39 tackles (30 solo), the most of his collegiate career … added a career high with nine pass breakups to go along with a forced fumble … notched two tackles against the likes of California and Oklahoma State … recorded four tackles against Oklahoma and six against Iowa State … posted three tackles and a pass breakup versus Kansas State … totaled six tackles again versus Baylor to go along with two pass breakups … posted a season-high seven tackles against Texas Tech … added a forced fumble and a pass breakup versus the Red Raiders … broke up two passes against West Virginia and then defended a career-high three others at Kansas … also had five tackles against the Jayhawks … ended the year with three tackles against TCU.
