The Red Raiders will seek to defeat Colorado for the first time since the Buffaloes rejoined the Big 12 in 2024
LUBBOCK, Texas -- Fresh off its most complete performance of the season on Thursday night, No. 25 Texas Tech Soccer seeks a resume boosting win Sunday afternoon against No. 13/8 Colorado.
First touch from the John Walker Soccer Complex is set for 1 p.m.
The match will air live on ESPNU.
Seeking its 30th Big 12 win since the start of the 2023 season, Tech enters the top-25 showdown riding five impressive unbeaten streaks including a 24-match September (19-0-5) streak, a 27-match unbeaten mark when scoring once (20-0-7), a 14-match unbeaten streak dating back to the 2025 regular season (7-0-7), a 16-match (12-0-4) Ft. Walker unbeaten streak and a 19-match State of Texas (14-0-5) unbeaten streak.
Tech's September span dates back to a Sept. 25, 2022 match against Texas, while the 14-match overall unbeaten streak dates back to last October's setback to Colorado in Boulder. The Red
Raiders last home loss and last loss in Texas came all the way back in 2024 when Tech fell to BYU, 2-1 in the regular season finale.

50: One of the best and most consistent programs in the country the last four seasons, Tech enters the seventh week of the 2026 season sitting at 50-9-16 (.774) over the programs last 74 matches (since the start of the 2023 season). Only three schools nationally have more wins than Tech over that span: Stanford (62), Florida State (57), North Carolina (55). The Red Raiders are tied with Miss State (50) and Wake Forest (50). Tech leads the Big 12 over that span.

29: Over the past four conference seasons (2022-26), Tech is second in the Big 12 Conference in total wins (29), notching three more wins than third-place WVU (25). TCU is the only Big 12 team with more wins (30). The Red Raiders 29-3-11 (.805) in Big 12 play over that span (42 matches) and are the only team in the Big 12 with three straight seven-plus win seasons. Tech's three losses in league play are also the fewest in the league, two clear of TCUs five total losses. Tech's 28 wins are tied for sixth-most.

51: While putting the ball in the back of the net is the name of the game, scoring twice has been critical for the Red Raiders success as since the start of the 2022 season, the Red Raiders are now 51-0-2 when scoring two goals. When you expand that mark out to the beginning of the 2021 season, Tech is 60-2-2 when scoring twice in a match. The Red Raiders saw a 29-match winning streak when scoring twice snapped in last Thursday's 2-2 draw at UCF.ย

LAST TIME OUT:
Kaitlyn Giametta buried a penalty kick, and Taylor Zdrojewski scored a key insurance goal to power No. 25 Texas Tech to a dominant 2-0 win at the John Walker Soccer Complex in front of another sold out crowd of 2024.
After a slow start, it was Texas Tech (5-0-4, 1-0-1 Big 12) who struck first, when a streaking Emma Torres was dragged down in the box for what turned out to be the first PK attempt of the season for the Red Raiders.
Showing the poise of a sixth year, Giametta slipped a ball past Cincinnati (2-3-4, 0-1-1 Big 12) goalkeeper Amber Brandon for her third goal of the season.
Up 1-0, Tech quickly put the game to bed in the 55th minute, when Kylie Bahr turned the corner and slipped a dangerous ball that found Torres deep in the Bearcats box. Seeing a streaking Zdrojewski, Torres slotted a beautiful ball that "Z" was able to get on the other end of for her sixth goal of the season and 32nd for her career.
Armed with a two-goal lead, Tech closed out its 50th win since the start of the 2023 season, improving to 50-9-16 (.773) over that span. The Red Raiders trail just Stanford (62), Florida State (57) and UNC (55) for the most victories in the country.
The Red Raiders outshot the Bearcatsย 16-6 as GK Addie Todd made two saves to earn her fifth clean sheet of the season.ย
With the two-goal performance, the Red Raiders improve to 51-0-2 since the 2022 season when finding the back of the net twice and are now 60-2-2 since 2022 when hitting the two-goal mark.
The win also improves the Red Raiders to 29-3-11 (.802) in Big 12 play since the start of the 2023 season that mark is sixth-most nationally and trails just TCU (30) for most wins. The Horned Frogs were 1-0 winners in Salt Lake City tonight.
The Red Raiders also ran their unbeaten streak to 14 overall (7-0-7) dating back to a 3-0 loss (Oct. 23) to No. 22/7 Colorado and are now 20-0-7 when scoring at least once. Tech is also 12-0-
4 at home since a 2024 loss to BYU and are 14-0-5 in their last 19 matches in Texas.
Since the installation of the natural grass surface, the Red Raiders are now 31-2-6 (.872) at Ft. Walker.
