Lady Raiders headed to Norman for ITA Kickoff weekend

Tech will face-off with No. 35 Wichita State on Friday, Jan. 22
LUBBOCK, Texas – Seeded No. 27 overall, Texas Tech Women's Tennis has picked the Norman Regional for the 2027 ITA Kickoff Weekend.
The Lady Raiders will head to Norman for the event held Jan. 22-23 and will face-off with No. 35 Wichita State.
If victorious, Tech would advance to meet the winner of No. 6 OU and No. 80 Long Beach State.
The event guarantees teams two matches, as the losers of Friday's two matches will meet on Saturday in the consolation bracket.
ITA kickoff Weekend is used to qualify teams for the ITA Indoor National Champions and features 56 of the nation's best teams in 14, four-team sites. Both No. 4 Ohio State and No. 12 Michigan will play host to the 14 regional site winners for the 2027 ITA Division I Women's National Team Indoor Championship and thus receive a bye.
