Red Raider trio earns CSC Academic All-District recognition

LUBBOCK, Texas – Texas Tech's Maja Ambroziak, Cameron Freund and Denisa Vodickova were each named to the 2026 Academic All-District® Women's At-Large Team, as selected by College Sports Communicators (CSC), the organization announced Tuesday.
The honor recognizes the nation's top student-athletes for their combined achievements in competition and in the classroom.
To be eligible for nomination, undergraduate student-athletes must possess at least a 3.50 cumulative grade point average. Graduate student-athletes must maintain a 3.50 cumulative GPA as both an undergraduate and graduate student unless they are in their first semester of graduate studies.
In golf, nominees must compete in at least 75 percent of their institution's team scoring events or be included in the lineup for the conference championship.
Ambroziak, a junior accounting major, owns a perfect 4.00 cumulative GPA. Freund, a junior majoring in mechanical engineering, carries a 3.72 GPA. Vodickova, a sophomore transfer who recently completed her first season at Texas Tech after spending her freshman year at Wake Forest, holds a 3.75 GPA while pursuing a degree in Arts and Sciences Multidisciplinary Studies with concentrations in English, history and political science.
Ambroziak earned Academic All-District honors for the second consecutive season, while Freund and Vodickova received the recognition for the first time in their careers.
