Championship Notes:
- The Red Raiders' roster features eight players, including six returners from the 2024-25 squad and two newcomers in freshman Pia Eide (Norway) and sophomore transfer Denisa Vodickova (Wake Forest). The returning group includes seniors Lauren Zaretsky (Canada) and Danique Stokmans (Netherlands), juniors Maja Ambroziak (Poland), Cameron Freund (Maryland) and Klara Hurtova (Czechia), and sophomore Emily Lee (California).
- The Red Raiders will travel the same five golfers who qualified from the regional event: Ambroziak, Freund, Hurtova, Vodickova and Zaretsky.
- Texas Tech is making its fifth all-time NCAA Championship appearance this week (1996, 2015, 2017, 2023, 2026). Head coach JoJo Robertson, now in her 16th season, has guided the Red Raiders to four of the program's five all-time appearances.
- Texas Tech's best finish at the NCAA Championship came in 2015 when the Red Raiders placed fifth nationally, falling 4-1 to Duke in the quarterfinal round of match play.
- Texas Tech advanced to the NCAA Championship Finals this year after finishing fifth at the Ann Arbor Regional, contested May 11-13. The appearance marked the program's 23rd all-time NCAA Regional berth and its ninth team regional appearance in the past 11 opportunities. The 2026 postseason also marked Texas Tech's first team appearance since 2023 after missing team qualification in 2024 and 2025. However, a pair of individuals from this year's roster qualified both years, with Zaretsky advancing to the 2024 Las Vegas Regional and Hurtova competing at the 2025 Lubbock Regional.
- Zaretsky was a freshman on Texas Tech's 2023 NCAA Championship team and enters the 2026 championship as the lone Red Raider with prior NCAA Finals experience, having competed at Grayhawk Golf Club in Scottsdale, Arizona. She finished 6-over for the championship (70-75-77).
- The NCAA Division I women's individual national champion will receive an exemption into the U.S. Women's Open, while the national championship team will earn an invitation to the Augusta National Women's Amateur. Players must retain amateur status to accept those exemptions.
- Championship play begins with 54 holes of stroke play Friday through Sunday. Following those three rounds, the field will be cut to the top 15 teams and nine individuals not on advancing teams. A final round of stroke play on Monday will determine the individual national champion and the top eight teams advancing to match play. Match play quarterfinals and semifinals are scheduled for Tuesday, with the national championship match set for Wednesday.
