A four-time All-American and National Champion joins the Red Raiders

LUBBOCK, Texas – Texas Tech volleyball announced the signing of UCLA transfer Maggie Boyd to its roster on Friday. Boyd joins the Red Raiders after being a four-time AVCA Beach All-American, 2026 AVCA Beach Player of the Year and a 2026 National Champion.

Boyd finished her collegiate career at UCLA with over 125 wins and a list of awards a mile long including a three-time winner of AVCA Top Flight Award for Court one, NCAA All-Tournament Team, MPSF All-Tournament Team, MPSF Player of the Year, two-time All-Pac 12, CSC Academic All-America, Pac-12 Freshman of the Year, along with many more.

She is just the seventh player in NCAA history to earn four AVCA Beach All-America First Team honors and is fourth all-time at UCLA in career wins.

A Flower Mound, Texas native, Boyd spent four years at Marcus High School and was a four-year letterwinner for indoor. She earned All-American Region Team and First Team All-District honors while being named the District Hitter of the Year.
