Set two was closer with Tech leading 15-13 at the media break but Arizona came back to take the lead 22-19 to force a Red Raider timeout. The Wildcats did not cool off on the break, however, and closed out the set 25-20 and grabbed firm control of the match.
The Red Raiders fell behind 15-10 at the media break and would cut the Wildcats lead to one but a quick 3-0 run after that forced a timeout from Tech late in the set. Arizona kept playing its game and would complete the sweep to earn its first conference win of the season.
