Snow makes final in 60m and 60m hurdles

FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. – The Texas Tech indoor track and field team completed day one of the 2026 NCAA Indoor Championships at the Randal Tyson Track Center Friday night.

Malachi Snow started his evening posting a 6.54 in the 60m sprint's first heat. He earned the first of one of the next best four times to advance to Saturday's final – his second-straight NCAA indoor final in the event. About one hour later, Snow went 7.43 in the 60m hurdles, tying his PB and school record. The junior makes the final in both events second-consecutive year.
Notables
·      Sean Gribble cleared 5.40m (17-8 ½) as he finished 16th in the pole vault.
·      Success Umukoro posted a 60m time of 7.25, finishing 14th overall.
·      Tonie-Ann Forbes, ranked 5th in the 60m hurdles coming in, was a DNS due to an injury during her warmup prior to the race.
·      Antoine Andrews was a DNF after pulling up after the second hurdle.
·      Kamron Neal finished 15th in the 200m as a ran a 21.27.
