Red Raiders back at home for doubleheader

LUBBOCK, Texas – The No. 74 Texas Tech Red Raiders are back at home again after a short stint on the road as they host the Oral Roberts Golden Eagles for two matches on Thursday at the McLeod Tennis Center at 10 a.m. and 3 p.m.

Texas Tech (6-4) fell on the road to No. 59 Indiana and No. 57 Georgia Tech last weekend. Against the Yellow Jackets, Georgia Tech would win the doubles point, then built a 2-0 lead with another singles win. But Texas Tech responded with singles victories from Ludovico Vaccari and Thiago Guglieri to tie the match at 2-2. Georgia Tech ultimately secured two tight three-set wins to clinch the match.

On the dual singles side, both Niksa Arsic and Guglieri lead the team with seven wins each. All of Arsic's wins have come at court one, while Guglieri is 3-0 at court five and 4-1 at court six. In dual doubles, the Arsic/Guglieri duo lead the way with a 6-3 record, all at the top court.

Scouting the Opponent
The Red Raiders are 4-1 against the Golden Eagles, with their most recent win coming in 2005 when Texas Tech won, 7-0, at home. Oral Roberts is 6-8 this season with five of their losses coming on the road. Their most recent loss was at SMU by a 1-4 score. They also have wins against UT Tyler, Saint Louis and St. Josephs.
