Red Raiders on the road for two matches

LUBBOCK, Texas – After a lengthy run at home, the Texas Tech Red Raiders head to Bloomington, Ind., and Atlanta to compete against the No. 59 Indiana Hoosiers and the No. 57 Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets on Friday and Sunday, respectively.

Last weekend, the Red Raiders picked up a 5-2 victory over the Louisiana Ragin' Cajuns. After dropping the doubles point, Texas Tech dominated in singles play, winning five of six matches with strong performances from players such as Felipe Pagnacco, Niksa Arsic, Ludovico Vaccari and Tyler Stewart.

Tech continued its home winning streak with a 5-2 win over New Mexico. After again losing the doubles point, Tech responded by winning five singles matches. Arsic and Thiago Guglieri helped shift the momentum early in singles play, while Sebastian Abboud clinched the match for the Red Raiders. The win moved Tech to 6-2 overall, and capped off a successful run at home before hitting the road to compete against Indiana and Georgia Tech.

Texas Tech enters the matchup with a 5-2 advantage in the all-time series against the Indiana Hoosiers, showing consistent success over the Hoosiers in recent years. The Red Raiders won five-straight meetings between 2014 and 2018. The most recent matchup came in 2019 in Bloomington, where Indiana ended the Red Raider winning streak with a 4-2 win over Texas Tech. This will be the first time that the Red Raiders and the Yellow Jackets compete in program history.
