
Red Raiders set for NCAA Outdoor Championships

EUGENE, Ore. – The Texas Tech track and field team wraps up its 2025 season this week competing in the NCAA Track & Field Outdoor Championships Wednesday through Saturday at Hayward Field.

Rankings
Out of the two programs, the women's team heads into the meet with the highest team ranking at No. 8 in the country. Meanwhile, the men's side goes into the championships ranked No. 11.
Meet Entries
The men's team will have 12 opportunities to score in 10 different events as the women will have 10 opportunities to score in seven events.
Men: Desean Boyce (400m, 4x400), Ernest Cheruiyot (5k, 10k), Johnathan Crawford (4x400), Oskar Edlund (400m hurdles, 4x400), George Garcia (4x400), Sean Gribble (pole vault), Carl Hicks (4x400), Titus Kimaru (3k steeplechase), Mario Paul (400m hurdles), Oscar Rodriguez (discus), Malachi Snow (100m), Shaemar Uter (400m, 4x400) and Trey Wilson (shot put).
Women: Temitope Adeshina (high jump), Fanny Arendt (800m, 4x400), Vanessa Balde (4x400), Zoe Burleson (discus), Tonie-Ann Forbes (100m hurdles), Shelby Frank (hammer, discus), Victoria Gorlova (triple jump), Magi' Harris (4x400), Mekenze Kelley (4x400), Olayikna Olajide (4x400), Destiny Smith (100m hurdles), Mercy Umoibang (4x400) and Tamiah Washington (triple jump).
Championship History
This will be the fourth time in the last five years the meet will be held at Hayward Field as Oregon is set to host through 2028. The last three meets for the men have seen them finish in the top-13, placing as high as sixth in 2023 scoring 34.5 points.
The Tech women have finished seventh twice in the last two of three meets (2022, 2024), both in Oregon. In 2022, the ladies scored a program-record 36 points.
