Red Raiders pick up six runs on eight hits in close contest
The Aggies came out swinging as they put up four runs in the second inning off a solo home run and a triple that scored three runs.
Tech responded with a two spot in the top of the third inning thanks to a Hailey Toney double and an Alexa Langeliers RBI.
A&M answered right back and then some as they scored three more runs in their half of the third to go up 7-2 and further its momentum.
Bailey Lindemuth got a hold of one, sending a ball over the left field fence, in the fourth to chip at the lead before Tech put up three more runs in the fifth off a pair of singles from Raegan Jennings and Victoria Valdez and a sacrifice fly from Lindemuth.
Toney and Jennings both had multi-hit games as Tech's offense didn't strikeout once and drew three walks in a solid showing at the plate.
UP NEXT: Tech will be at home to face Oklahoma State in its Big 12 opener.
