Red Raiders fall to No. 8 Arizona State

Volleyball drops match to Sun Devils
TEMPE, Arizona – The Red Raiders (10-13, 2-9) fell to the No. 8 Sun Devils (19-3, 10-1) 3-0 on Wednesday in Tempe.
The Sun Devils looked like every bit of a top 10 team, led by Noemie Glover who led the match with 17 kills while hitting .696 and adding five blocks.
A bright spot for the Red Raiders was Taylor Bahnub who returned to action after missing some time. The redshirt freshman finished with five kills on seven attempts for a great .714 hitting percentage.
Kalli Jioshvili Ravva led Tech with eight kills, Peyton Dunn and Katelyn Cochran both had 10 assists and Sierra Grizzle finished with a match-high 15 digs.
How it Happened:
The first set was dominated by the Sun Devils. They had six blocks and limited the Red Raiders to just three kills as they won 25-6.
Texas Tech kept the second set much closer, even taking a 10-8 lead at one point. The Red Raiders had nine kills in as they kept it within three points for most of the set. The Sun Devils came out on top though, winning 25-20.
The Sun Devils had no trouble closing out the match, hitting over .350 while holding Tech to under .100 as they won 25-16 to complete the sweep.
UP NEXT: The Red Raiders will face Arizona on Friday at noon in Tucson.
