Kimaru secures All-Conference honors Friday

The Red Raiders will have a week off before running in regionals
LAWRENCE, Kan. – On a perfect fall weather morning to kick off Halloween, the Texas Tech cross country teams wrapped up the 2025 Big 12 Championships at Rim Rock Farm. Titus Kimaru earned All-Conference honors placing 11th overall – top 15 runners collect All-Conference honors.
The men's team placed 6th overall scoring 191 points, while the women's team finished 8th scoring 262 points.

A cool, crisp morning provided great running weather as Kimaru clocked in at 23:07.6 to lead the Tech pack. Victor Kipkoech finished 23rd at 23:40.8 as Fikadu Gonzalez rounded out the top 50 in 43rd with a time of 24:36.4. Issac Hernandez (62nd, 24:59.3) and Daniel Mendez (69th, 25:09.1) rounded out the score.
Lily Mather paced the way for the women's team coming in 29th overall with a time of 20:28.9. Pauline Wanjiku finished 58th with a time of 21:29.5 as Jenna Carter crossed the end line 10 spots later in 68th at 21:50.2. Hannah Spears (78th, 21:58.1) and Taytum Goodman (78th, 22:05.8) capped off the scoring.

The Red Raiders will have the following week off before traveling to Salt Lake City for the 2025 NCAA Mountain Regional.
