Tech XC produce top 10 team finishes

Three Red Raiders look to be in contention for the national championships
SALT LAKE CITY – The Texas Tech men's and women's cross country teams each finished in the top 10 Friday afternoon at the 2025 NCAA Mountain Regional race at the Regional Athletic Complex.
The men's side scored 252 points to place ninth overall, while the women's team finished 10th scoring 293 points. Full results of today's races can be viewed HERE.
The morning kicked off with the women's 6k race as Lily Mather paced the squad with a time of 21:07.4 as she placed 24th overall, earning All-Region honors (top 25 runners). Mather moved up three spots in the final 1k.
Over on the men's side, Titus Kimaru and Victor Kipkoech led the way for Tech. Kimaru, who held the lead through the 7.4 k mark, placed ninth overall with a time of 30:13.6. Meanwhile, Kipkoech dropped six spots in the final 1.6k to still finish 13th. Both Red Raiders earn All-Region honors in the process.
As of now, it looks like all three Red Raiders mentioned above will book their spots as individuals to the NCAA Championship race on Saturday, Nov. 22 in Columbus, Mo. The selection show will be held tomorrow evening at 4 p.m. CT on NCAA.com.
