Texas Tech suffers first loss at home, now 10-1 inside United Supermarkets Arena

LUBBOCK, Texas – Texas Tech Lady Raider Basketball suffered its first home loss of the season in a 77-57 loss to No. 12 Texas on Saturday evening.

The Lady Raiders (11-7, 3-4 Big 12) kept it close for most of the first half, but the Longhorns (14-4, 8-0 Big 12) opened the gap with a 17-6 run to start the third quarter and hold on to a 20-point lead.

Texas Tech held the Longhorns to 3-for-11 from beyond the arc while shooting 46.7 percent (7-15).

Two Lady Raiders scored in double figures for the 16^th time this season. Junior Jada Terry led the team with 15 points and six rebounds. Junior Dayo Olabode followed with 10 points of her own, shooting 3-for-4 from beyond the arc.

Freshman Grayson Bright went 2-for-2 from beyond the arc, tying her season-best two made 3-pointers. Sophomore Zuri Sanders recorded a team-leading seven rebounds and two assists in just 14 minutes of play.
