Lady Raiders to face No. 21/22 Miami in the tournament championship game

CORAL GABLES, Fla. – The Texas Tech Lady Raiders advanced to the Miami Thanksgiving Tournament championship game with a 59-50 win over Fordham on Black Friday.

The Lady Raiders are now 8-4 when playing on Black Friday and have won two straight over the Rams on back-to-back Black Fridays.

Texas Tech (3-1) trailed Fordham (3-2) at the half, but the Lady Raiders blazed back with a 21-point third quarter and held the Rams to just 15 points.

Freshman Arella Guirantes led the Lady Raiders with her second double-double of the season. She scored 19 points, recorded 12 rebounds, two steals and two blocks against the Rams. Junior Jada Terry followed with her second double-double, scoring 17 points and 10 boards.

Senior Ivonne CookTaylor scored 10 points and tallied 10 boards to reach her first double-double of the season and fourth of her career.
