- Japreece Dean finished with 21 points, her fifth 20-point output of the season, to go along with a career-high eight rebounds and four assists. She went 11-12 from the free throw line, which are career highs and Tech season highs for makes and attempts. It marked the sixth time this season she has led the Lady Raiders in scoring.
LET HER COOK(TAYLOR)
- Ivonne CookTaylor scored in double figures for the 14th time this season-six of which have come in the last seven games-finishing with 16 points. She hit seven of her first 10 shots and finished 8-14 from the field. She is averaging 15.8 points in the last seven games.
FEELING CHARITABLE
- Texas Tech went 17-20 from the free throw line on Saturday, its second-highest free throw make total of the season, led by Japreece Dean, who went 11-12, which were both individual season highs for the Lady Raiders. At one point, Dean had a streak of 17 consecutive made free throws, which was snapped late in the fourth quarter. Tech is 4-0 this season when making at least 15 free throws.
DE-FENSE
- The Lady Raiders forced at least 20 turnovers for the second-straight game, forcing the Jayhawks to give it away 20 times.
- Tech held Kansas, which averages 5.6 made threes per game this season, to just 3-16 from deep.
- Tech held the Jayhawks to just 18-58 (.310) from the field, its best performance in that regard since holding Arkansas-Pine Bluff to 15-51 (.294) on Dec. 20.
