DE-FENSE
- Texas Tech forced Iowa State into 23 turnovers and only allowed nine Cyclone assists. Iowa State entered today's game averaging only 12.5 turnovers per game this season.
- Tech is one of the premier teams in the Big 12 in regards to defending the three and did not disappoint today, holding ISU to 4-14 from beyond the arc.
LET HER COOK(TAYLOR)
- For the third-straight game, Ivonne CookTaylor led Tech in scoring, finishing with 21 points. It was the seventh time this season she has led the Lady Raiders in scoring, and her sixth 20+ point scoring game of the season.
- CookTaylor also had a career-high 12 rebounds, marking her second double-double of the season, both of which have been of the 20-10 variety.
BOWSER RETURNS TO THE CASTLE
- In her first action since separating her shoulder on Jan. 6, Ryann Bowser had an immediate impact, scoring six points on two early threes, and also chipped in a pair of rebounds and assists.
LADY RAIDER LARCENY
Texas Tech piled up 11 steals against Iowa State, marking Tech's fifth double-digit steal performance of the season, and first of conference play. The Lady Raiders were led in that category by Jamie Roe, who racked up five, just two off her career high.
WHO'S GOT NEXT?
Next up for the Lady Raiders is a Wednesday morning road tilt with Oklahoma, in Norman. Tipoff is set for 10:30 a.m., as part of OU's Education Day celebration.
