Texas Tech to Play Eight Game Fall Slate

Texas Tech softball announced an eight game fall slate during the month of October that includes four games at Rocky Johnson Field.
The Red Raiders will begin fall play on Saturday October third as the Red Raiders will travel to Spring Texas for first day of back to back double headers. In their first game, the Red Raiders will face Galveston at 1:00 p.m. followed by a 3:00 p.m. matchup with Texas State. The Red Raiders will complete a four game weekend on Sunday October fourth with a 9:00 a.m. matchup with St. Edwards, followed by an 11:00 a.m. tilt with Blinn.
Following the TCS Classic, the Red Raiders will finish out the month of October with four home games beginning on October seventh when the team will welcome Midland College to Rocky Johnson Field. On October 15th Tech will face Howard Junior College for a pair of games beginning at 4:00 p.m. before wrapping up fall play on the 20th with a 6:00 p.m. matchup with Odessa College.
The Red Raiders enter the 2016 season under second year head coach Greggory. Tech ended last season winning four straight conference series wins including a sweep on the road at Oklahoma State. The team welcomes back 12 letter winners from the 2015 season that finished fourth in the Big 12 with a 9-9 record.
