Haley Schneider CAREER DAY ON SENIOR DAY
Texas Tech senior center Haley Schneider started her fourth career game and scored a career-high 14 points and seven blocks on senior day Saturday against Texas. Schneider beat out her previous high of eight points scored against Kansas State on Feb. 15. It was the final home game for her and Shauntal Nobles, who were honored after the game.
CAROLYN THOMPSON HONORED
Former Lady Raider and 2014 Southwest Conference Hall of Fame inductee Carolyn Thompson was honored before the game vs. Texas on Saturday. Thompson played at Tech from 1980-84 and was a three-time All-American. She is still the career leader in points for a men's or women's basketball player at Tech with 2,655 points. Thompson will be inducted on April 7 in Waco, Texas.
THREE IN DOUBLE DIGITS
Texas Tech had three players finish in double figures and all with 14 points on Saturday - Amber Battle, Haley Schneider and Ivonne CookTaylor.
COOKTAYLOR DOUBLE DIGIT STREAK
Texas Tech redshirt freshman Ivonne CookTaylor finished with 14 points on Saturday vs. Texas. It was the third consecutive game that CookTaylor finished with 10 points or more. She is averaging 13.3 points in her last three games.
BATTLE NUMBERS
Texas Tech junior guard Amber Battle finished with 14 points on Saturday vs. Texas. It was the 24th time she has scored in double digits this season.
