? Jakeem Grant scored the first points of the game for Texas Tech when he caught a 6-yard TD pass from Patrick Mahomes with 4:03 to go in the first quarter. The touchdown catch was his sixth of the season (16th career).
? Senior linebacker Sam Eguavoen put a stop to Oklahoma's first scoring threat of the day when he recorded his first career interception. The interception came on the very next play following a 45-yard spectacular catch by Sooner receiver Durron Neal.
? Senior receiver Bradley Marquez (3 receptions, 49 yards) has now caught at least one pass in 39 of 41 career games.
? Freshman QB Patrick Mahomes hit freshman WR Ian Sadler for a 59-yard touchdown to give the Red Raiders a 14-7 lead with 3:17 left in the first half.
