NOTING THE RED RAIDERS
? Kenny Williams scored his first touchdown of the season when he caught a 57-yard TD pass from Davis Webb on the first drive of the game. The TD gave the Red Raiders an early 7-0 lead.
? Ryan Bustin's 28-yard field goal on the second Texas Tech drive of the game gave the Red Raiders a 10-7 lead. It marked Bustin's sixth field goal of the season and the 46th of his career. He added his second field goal midway through the second quarter (38-yards) that gave him seven on the season and 47 in his career... he is one field goal away from tying Alex Trlica (48, 2004-07) for the school's career record.
? Jakeem Grant recorded a career-long 59-yard reception on Tech's third offensive possession of the game.
? Senior receiver Bradley Marquez has now caught at least one pass in 37-of-39 career games.
? Junior safety Sam Atoe picked up his first career sack in the second quarter.
? Pete Robertson became the first Red Raider to log a sack in five consecutive games (second quarter) since Adell Duckett in 2003 (Oct. 25-Nov. 22). His eight sacks this season are the most by a Red Raiders since the 2009 season when Brandon Sharpe had 15... He is one of only two players in the country with at least 50 tackles and seven sacks this season... He now has 58 tackles and eight sacks this season... only other players to accomplish this is Washington's Danny Shelton.
? Dylan Cantrell caught his first touchdown of the season late in the fourth quarter and became the 10th different Red Raider to catch a TD pass this season. The touchdown was the second of his career.
? D.J. Polite-Bray was ejected from the game along with TCU's Chris Hackett following a deadball altercation at the end of the third quarter.
TEAM NOTES
? Texas Tech extended its consecutive game scoring streak to 215 games on the first offensive possession of the game when Kenny Williams caught a 57-yard TD pass from Davis Webb. The 215 game scoring streak dates back to Oct. 25, 1997, and ranks 13th in the nation.
? Texas Tech scored a touchdown on its first offensive possession for just the second time this season - last time at Oklahoma State.
? Texas Tech compiled 287 yards of total offense in the first quarter - it is the most since putting up 259 yards against SFA in last year's home opener.
? Texas Tech recorded 21 first downs, which extended its streak with at least 20 first downs to 18 consecutive games (longest active streak in the FBS).
? Texas Tech tallied 446 total yards, which extended its streak with at least 325 total yards to 36 consecutive games (longest active streak in the FBS).
