Texas Tech head coach Kliff Kingsbury
Opening statement:
"We've got to give them credit. They were a very good team. Even if we were to play our best, it would have been tough to beat them. You've just got to keep fighting. We've got to keep going, keep trying to be better and try to improve this week."
On TCU's performance:
"They made a bunch of plays. I saw a bunch of missed tackles. I think we gave them the ball four times on our side of the field as turnovers. It's inexcusable in a lot of areas and we have to keep working to improve it."
On Trevone Boykin:
"I said I thought he was a top three Heisman guy, and to watch him live and in person. He's got to be a front-runner. He's that good. He's the best player in the country in my opinion. Even when you think you've got him, you don't have him. He creates plays. You play that many snaps and don't turn the ball over, that's impressive."
Texas Tech junior running back DeAndre Washington
On Tech's performance:
"They were a better team today. We've just got to come back Monday and come back ready to work. There is really no excuse for it. Eighty-two points is a lot and there's not excuse. We've got to get better."
On mismatches:
"I don't really think there were any mismatches. I think it was us beating ourselves and not getting lined up and not getting the technique that we practiced all weekend."
