Sordet Ties For 17th at Ameri Ari

Sordet finishes tied for 17th at the Ameri Ari in Kona, Hawaii.

No. 33 Texas Tech wrapped up its first tournament of the spring season late Friday afternoon with a 12th place finish at the 33rd Annual Ameri Ari in Kona, Hawaii.
The Red Raiders were led by sophomore Clement Sordet's tie for 17th place overall with TCU's Julien Brun. Sordet entered the final round on Friday in a tie for 23rd in the individual standings but was able to climb six spots thanks to a 1-under, 71 outing. Sordet finished the tournament at 3-under, 213 after logging rounds of 68, 74, and 71 on the par-72 Kings Course.
Senior Finley Ewing IV, who got off to a slow start in round one, rebounded nicely in the final round with a 4-under, 68 and finished tied for 49th overall.
No. 7 UCLA and No. 6 Washington shared the team title as the Bruins and Huskies fired scores of 22-under, 842. The Bruins and Huskies finished seven strokes ahead of third place finisher TCU and eight strokes ahead of No. 10 Georgia Tech and No. 8 USC, who tied for fourth.
