Danny Amendola (WR) New England Patriots
Week 14 Matchup: Patriots-27 Browns-26
In Sunday's victory over the Cleveland Browns, Amendola hauled in the game-winning touchdown late in the fourth quarter. He now has two touchdowns on the season as well as 41 receptions for a total of 448 yards. The Patriots have now won three straight and have a comfortable lead over the AFC East Division. Amendola played four seasons at Tech (2004-2007) and signed as an undrafted free agent in 2008 with the Dallas Cowboys.
Bront Bird (LB) San Diego Chargers
Week 14 Matchup: Chargers-14 Giants-37
Bird recorded three tackles in Sunday's game against the New York Giants which gives him 28 combined tackles on the year. He has made an appearance in all 13 of the Chargers games this year and played a key role on both special teams and defense. Bird played four seasons at Tech (2007-2010) and signed as an undrafted free agent in 2011 with the San Diego Chargers.
Michael Crabtree (WR) San Francisco 49ers
Week 14 Matchup: 49ers-19 Seahawks-17
In the second week since his return from injury, Crabtree had four receptions for 40 yards in the 49ers defeat over the division rival Seahawks. He caught two passes for a total of 68 yards, averaging 34 yards per reception. Crabtree Played two seasons at Tech (2007-2008) and was selected as the 10th overall pick 2009 NFL draft by the San Francisco 49ers.
Cody Davis (S) St. Louis Rams
Week 14 Matchup: Rams-10 Cardinals-30
Davis had two tackles on Sunday as he continues to play on the Ram's special teams unit. He now has recorded five tackles on the season. He was an Academic All-American and All-Big 12 selection at Tech during his senior season in 2012. He was a four-year letterman with the Red Raiders (2009-2012). Davis signed as an undrafted free-agent with the Rams in 2013.
Seth Doege (QB) Atlanta Falcons
Week 14 Matchup: Falcons-21 Packers-23
Doege remains on the Falcons practice squad. He did not see game action during the preseason, yet participated during training camp. He finished his collegiate career at Tech as the program's third leading passer all-time, trailing onlyGraham Harrell and Kliff Kingsbury. Doege played four seasons with the Red Raiders (2009-2012).
Keyunta Dawson (DE) New Orleans Saints
Week 14 Matchup: Saints-31 Panthers-13
Dawson was inactive for the second weekend in a row on Sunday against the Panthers. Since being traded to the Saints midway through the season he has recorded three tackles, one sack, and one forced fumble. Dawson played four seasons at Tech (2003-2006) and was selected in the seventh round of the 2007 NFL Draft by the Indianapolis Colts.
Dylan Gandy (OL) Detroit Lions
Week 14 Matchup: Lions -20 Eagles-34
The Lions played in what looked more like a snowball fight than a football game on Sunday as they fell to the Philadelphia Eagles. The Detroit offensive line did not allow any sacks on Sunday. Gandy has seen action at right guard every game this season. Gandy played four seasons at Tech (2001-2004) and was selected in the fourth round of the 2005 NFL Draft by the Indianapolis Colts.
Darcel McBath (S) San Francisco 49ers
Week 14 Matchup: 49ers-19 Seahawks-17
McBath remains on the disabled list and has not played this season. Last season McBath was a member of the 49ers along with fellow Red Raider Michael Crabtree while winning the NFC championship and making a Super Bowl appearance. McBath played in all 16 games last season making two tackles and recovering a fumble. McBath played four seasons at Tech (2005-2008) and was selected in the second round of the 2009 NFL draft by the Denver Broncos.
Manny Ramirez (OL) Denver Broncos
Week 14 Matchup: Broncos-51 Titans-28
The Denver offensive line once again was completely dominate over the competition as they allowed for quarterback Peyton Manning to throw for 397 yards and rack up 551 yards of total offense. Ramirez has started in each of the Broncos 13 games this season. Ramirez played four seasons at Tech (2003-2006) and was selected in the fourth round of the 2007 NFL Draft by the Detroit Lions.
Louis Vasquez (OL) Denver Broncos
Week 14 Matchup: Broncos-51 Titans-28
In a pattern that has been very prominent this season the Denver offensive line did not allow a single sack on quarterback Peyton Manning on Sunday. The Bronco's offense leads the NFL in passing yards (341.2 ypg), total offense (455.6 ypg), and in sacks allowed (15). He has now started in all 13 of the Bronco's games this year. Vasquez played four seasons at Tech (2005-2008) and was selected in the third round of the 2009 NFL Draft by the San Diego Chargers.
LaAdrian Waddle (OL) Detroit Lions
Week 14 Matchup: Lions -20 Eagles-34
Waddle has now participated in 10 games this season and has started in the last six including Sunday's game against the Philadelphia Eagles. Waddle played four seasons at Tech (2009-2012) and signed an undrafted free-agent contract in 2013 with the Detroit Lions.
Wes Welker (WR) Denver Broncos
Week 14 Matchup: Broncos-51 Titans-28
Welker had five receptions for 61 yards and a touchdown on Sunday as the Bronco's defeated the Tennessee Titans. His touchdown on Sunday marked his 10th of the year surpassing his previous career best of nine from 2009. Welker played four seasons at Tech (2000-2003) and signed as an undrafted free agent in 2004 with the San Diego Chargers.
