RED RAIDERS SET TO FACE MINNESOTA IN MEINEKE CAR CARE BOWL
Texas Tech and Minnesota will be meeting for the second time when they face off in the Meineke Car Care Bowl of Texas and lead the series 1-0. Texas Tech had one of its most memorable performances the last time these two schools met in the 2006 Insight Bowl in Tempe. Trailing by four touchdowns at halftime, the Red Raiders rallied in the second half and escaped with a 44-41 overtime win. The comeback still stands as the NCAA record for the largest come from behind win (34 points) in a bowl game.
