Raony Carvalho won his second professional doubles event as an amateur.

RECIFE, Brazil -Raony Carvalho won his second career professional tournament as an amateur on Friday, as the Texas Tech senior teamed with Marcio Torres to capture the Chesf Open Internacional doubles title.
The duo downed the No. 1-seed team of Diego Matos and Tiago Lopes, 2-6, 6-2 (10-7). Carvalho and Torres went 4-0 and upended two seeded opponents en route to the tournament title.
Since taking the semester off to compete of the ITF Futures Tour, Carvalho's world doubles ranking has dropped from 1,409 to 817 entering this week's event.
Carvalho, Texas Tech's first All-American, will return to the Red Raider lineup in January.
