Also ranked are doubles student-athletes Vitor Manzini, Rafael Garcia and Gabriel Wanderley.
Escobar, who has been ranked No. 11 nationally in singles, is the highest ranked singles and doubles player in the conference. Teamed with Manzini, Escobar has earned a No. 10 doubles ranking.
Escobar was 29-16 last season in singles and advances to the NCAA Championships for the second straight year. He finished the season ranked 25th in singles.
As a duo, Escobar and Manzini combined to go 20-9 last season and 9-1 against nationally-ranked opponents. The tandem finished last season ranked 41st nationally.
Garcia and Wanderley begin the season ranked 49th in the NCAA. Garcia played mainly at the No. 1 position last season with Raony Carvalho, while Wanderley saw limited action in doubles in 2011.
