Opening Statement
"I really appreciate the crowd for a Wednesday night, we appreciate everybody coming out and hopefully we will have a great crowd on Saturday it's a great opportunity and we are going to need everybody's help to have great home court advantage. I just want to start out thanking the crowd and hopefully we can fill this place up Saturday at two."
On how Shauntal Nobles played
"She brings a lot of energy, you can look at her stat line and anytime you see an offensive column like that it just shows how hard you're playing. I thought she gave us a spark off the bench, I know our posts whoever comes in for whoever you don't want there to be a let down if anything you want it to be a burst of energy off the bench and be an energy source off the bench, and she provided a lot of energy and obviously when you have that many offensive rebounds it shows how hard you're playing."
On what has Shauntal improved on since last season
"I think from Shauntal just working on her offensive game, her finishes inside and her face up, just working on her ability to go up stronger and finish inside and just be a power post presence for us. I think probably though, now that I've had a couple of seconds to think about it just her improvement on her free throw shooting she has worked a lot on her shot and her free throw and she just needs to continue to work."
On converting off turnovers
"Well it's important for us to understand that once there is a change of possession that we want to be aggressive, be the most aggressive to convert. I think that's one area of improvement from our team a year ago is that we are converting we are capitalizing, whether it's scoring a basket or getting to the foul line. It's important to convert those into good offensive possessions."
On playing Penn State, Saturday
"Well obviously it's going to be different we are playing a team that's picked to win the Big Ten. We won't see a better back court in Big 12 play, Bentley and Lucas are as good as anybody in the country and Gray, at the one, two and three and this is going to be a great experience for us and it's what we need badly at this point. We know that with each game we will see some different things and this weekend will be a great test for us and it's time for that and their schedule they've played at Delaware and at North Carolina tonight and playing Iowa State out in Reno they've had a few more challenges than we've had, probably, as far as name across the front of the chest. Again, we feel like we need this at this time and it's going to be a great opportunity for us. I know we felt like we didn't play our best basketball a year ago up there and we feel like we are a much better basketball team and I'm sure they feel like their much better. It's going to be a great Big 10, Big 12 battle."
On how Penn State's win over North Carolina will affect them
"I'm not sure, the biggest thing with us is being who we need to be and doing the things that we need to do. We are going to have to control the tempo and make sure we understand transition defense, that'll probably be the difference in the basketball game and getting back and finding their shooters and doing the things that we need to do. They're outstanding in transition and so are we and we both like to push the basketball and be the most aggressive team. They're shooting 43 percent on the year and they just shoot the basketball so well so it's going to be a great opportunity for us."
